Kate Kopriva

Kate is a Certified Prosthetist at Humotech. She brings over 16 years of clinical prosthetic experience to the team. 

 

While working as a prosthetist in Pittsburgh, Kate worked directly with people with amputations to find a prosthetic solution to restore their mobility and function. She attended weekly amputee clinics as part of an inter-disciplinary team for prosthetic users in the greater Pittsburgh area.   Kate's zeal for the field of Prosthetics led her to mentor numerous prosthetic residents, instruct students at the University of Pittsburgh Masters in Prosthetics and Orthotics program for several semesters, and attend many Össur Women's Leadership Initiative conferences as a participant and presenter. 

 

In her role as a clinician, Kate finds a great blend of hands-on work and building connections with people to assist individuals living with a limb difference to regain function and independence. Her passion for helping those with amputations even took her on two medical mission trips to Haiti, in the years following the 2010 earthquake.  

 

Kate is excited for her next professional chapter at Humotech to support their endeavors to improve the field of prosthetics.
