Need Help Selecting a System?
If you’re interested in one of these systems or would like help determining which option fits your research goals, we’re happy to talk.
Meet the Caplex® System
Design — Test — Then Build
With the Caplex® System, you can test ideas with real users first, then use data to build better solutions faster and with less risk.
Caplex® lets you explore different device behaviors without costly physical prototyping, helping you move from concept to insight in less time.
Caplex® provides a consistent, easy-to-use platform that supports rigorous experimentation and improves reproducibility across studies.
Caplex® gives you a starting point for device design so you can focus on innovation—like control strategies, mechanisms, and system performance—without rebuilding foundational hardware.
Caplex® enables rapid testing of device concepts by letting users experience different mechanical behaviors through a single system.
Clinical Caplex® is now available following years of development and clinical validation.

Full-Sized Caplex® System
Small-Scale & Portable Caplex® Systems
The Small-Scale and Portable Caplex® Systems are compact platforms for developing and testing wearable assistance, rehabilitation, and augmentation technologies in space- and power-limited environments. The Small-Scale System is designed for the benchtop, and the Portable System is designed for a backpack.
They use off-board actuation and control powered through a standard wall outlet, delivering high performance in a smaller footprint. The Portable System includes an option for on-board battery power. Built on years of user feedback, these systems continue to evolve with a growing research community.
Using the same modular architecture as the Full-Sized Caplex® System, it can be quickly configured and extended to meet specific needs without long custom development cycles. If you're interested in one of these systems, please contact us with your performance requirements so we can offer a solution tailored to your needs.
Open Source Leg
The Open Source Leg (OSL) is a wearable robotics platform for developing and testing robotic ankle and knee control strategies in real-world environments, including overground and outdoor use.
