Joyce Perrone

O&P Operations Advisor

Joyce Perrone has been involved in many aspects of  consulting to the medical community. She has formerly been an employee of De La Torre O&P and UNION O&P in Pittsburgh PA for over 25 years.  During her time there, she led growth & development initiatives, oversight of all billing, liaison work with external IT companies to develop streamlined, cost-effective connectivity, data and trend analysis, and process designs. Post ‘partial’ retirement she is working as a strategy and management consultant for several O&P companies as well as a medical compliance and revenue cycle company.

Joyce has a BS degree in biology, graduate work in administration and management, and certified as a Green Belt in Six Sigma. Her first job after college was as a lab technologist in a hepatitis research lab.

Joyce has presented many times for the American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists (AAOP) and the American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association (AOPA) for several decades. She has also been interviewed and written articles for many of the O&P trade magazines.

For fun, she is involved with training her german shepherd to do tracking and to search for various odors for sport and for biological work. Recently, she and her dog were certified in Lantern Fly egg detection by Virginia Tech to help mitigate their invasion of various types of fruit farms.

"No one is useless in this world who lightens the burden of it for someone else."
