Caplex Advantage
Meet our Actuator Units
Humotech Actuator units represent one of the two primary off-board components that make up a Caplex system. Now available in three variants: Full-Sized Single-Axis, Full-Sized Multi-Axis,and Portable Two-Axis. In typical Caplex System setups, these units receive velocity commands over EtherCAT from the Caplex Software via our Control Hardware.
Interested in one, three, four, or more motor-units? Please contact us today as we’re actively designing the next generation for greater modularity.
Full-Sized, Multi-Axis Actuator Unit
Portable, Two-Axis Actuator Unit
The Portable Two-Axis Actuator Unit is contained within the backpack/benchtop portion of the Portable Caplex System. It incorporates high-torque-density servomotors currently in a two-axis configuration contained within a fixed frame for actuation of a Humotech (or other cable-actuated) wearable device. The Unit is designed for use inside or outside of the lab (though it’s not tested against water/mud/dust—yet!) and powered by single-phase AC wall power or a lithium polymer battery.
Full-Sized, Single-Axis Actuator Unit
The Single-Axis Actuator Unit incorporates an industrial servo motor and drive within a wheeled floor-standing unit for actuation of a Humotech (or other cable-actuated) wearable device. The Unit is designed for use inside of a lab and powered by 3-phase AC wall power. Multiple units can be linked to actuate any number of degrees-of-freedom. For high degree-of-freedom systems, we recommend the Multi-Axis Actuator Unit (see below).
Small-Scale, One-Axis Actuator Unit
The Small-Scale One-Axis Actuator Unit is contained within the benchtop/rack-mounted portion of the Small-Scale Caplex System. It incorporates a high-torque-density servomotor currently in a one-axis configuration contained within a fixed frame for actuation of a Humotech (or other cable-actuated) wearable device. The Unit is designed for use inside or outside of the lab (though it’s not tested against water/mud/dust—yet!) and powered by single-phase AC wall power.
